Breastfeeding Class

In addition to technique instruction, learn about the advantages of breastfeeding, prevention and treatment of possible problems, a father's role and tips for breast milk expression/storage while working. All breastfeeding mothers and their babies are welcome, as are still-expectant mothers.

Living with Diabetes

Offers general information for diabetics and their families to help them stay in control and in command of the disorder.

Labor & Delivery

This class provides information on what to expect during labor and delivery. Includes material on normal labor and delivery, common complications and interventions, medicines, breathing/relaxation exercises, initial newborn care and infant feeding.

The Siblings Class

For children ages 4 to 11 preparing to become brothers and sisters, this class initiates the bonding process between siblings as well as parents. Newborn appearance and behavior are covered, plus how to adjust to the new member of the family.

Car Seat Class

This class provides information for parents on proper installation of car seats in their vehicles. If you can't work a class into your schedule, feel free to come by a SAFE Kids Sumter County and let us verify that your carseat is properly installed. Check the calendar for upcoming events.
