Tuomey's Surgical Services Department is armed and ready for whatever medical situations might come through the door. Some of the nation's finest surgeons are on board to handle everything from elective surgeries to the most sophisticated procedures imaginable. They're backed by highly talented surgical teams and empowered by world-class technology.
Our Surgical Services Department has a total of 47 beds in the Day
Surgery Unit, 14 beds in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and 10 operating
suites at its disposal. In addition, the anesthesia block room in the
Post-Anesthesia Care Unit is used just for special procedures. The
Outpatient Surgery Center has four operating rooms and 20 pre- and
post-operative beds.
A full complement of surgical services is offered, including general,
vascular, urology, nephrology, orthopedic, ENT and ophthalmology, oral
and plastic surgery. Ophthalmic laser surgery is offered, as well as IV
therapy, antibiotic therapy and transfusion.
Furthermore, Tuomey's Pain Treatment Center uses advanced technology
to provide the best in interventional pain management options, ranging
from treatments as simple as an injection or as advanced as the surgical
implantation of an electrical stimulation system into the spine for
pain control. The goal of the Pain Treatment Center is to relieve,
reduce or manage patients' pain through minimally invasive procedures
and without heavy reliance on medications.
