Tuomey’s Subacute Skilled Care Program is the first of its kind in the area. It provides short-term recuperative and restorative care to patients who are ready to be discharged from the hospital's acute care unit, but not yet ready to return home. The program bridges the gap between illness or surgery and the reestablishment of the patient's independence, providing a complete continuum of acute and subacute care to our community.
