The Festival of Trees
December 01, 2005 thru January 6, 2006
The annual Festival of Trees has quickly become a holiday tradition for Sumter County residents. This wonderful event, which is open to the entire community, features Christmas trees that are sponsored and decorated by local businesses and organizations. The trees are placed throughout Tuomey Healthcare System and literally transform the hospital into a winter wonderland. Thousands of people come to see these beautifully decorated trees that are on display the entire month of December.
More important even than the beauty of the Festival of Trees, though, is its beneficiary - Tuomey Hospice Services. Funds raised through these sponsorships go toward this incredible program. Hospice allows patients to spend their final days with dignity, surrounded by their loved ones. Our goal is to provide a hospice unit that will be a place of shelter and rest for terminal patients and their families. This unit will allow a patient to receive the comfort and care needed during a specific time and enable family members to have a respite from their daily care routine.
Please join the 2005 Festival of Trees and make a difference in the lives of Hospice patients and their family members, while showcasing your organization as a compassionate citizen who cares about the quality of healthcare in this community. Contact 774-9014 for more information.

The Tuomey Society Gala
Tuesday, December 6, 2005
We are currently planning the Tuomey Society Gala, which will honor all
the members who have given or pledged to give this year at this level.
It is truly a magical night of fine food, wonderful fun and lots of
fellowship. This year Danielle and Greg Thompson will be hosting the
event in their home and will help us continue the tradition of
celebrating the many different beneficiaries that have been made strong
through philanthropic support of The Tuomey Foundation. The gala will
take place on Tuesday, December 6th so it is not too late to join the
Tuomey Society and attend this wonderful event.
